Digicel takes on Cup Match connectivity

The firm Digicel Bermuda has announced its partnership with Cup Match 2023 as communications sponsor,

The company said it was proud to sponsor the iconic sporting competition when families and friends unite to celebrate the island’s history and culture.

Liam Donnelly, the chief executive of Digicel Bermuda, added: “Just like this cherished event, Digicel's history is intertwined with the fabric of the island, with some of our employees hailing from both Somerset and St George’s, making it a truly community-focused venture.”

Mr Donnelly said service aimed to “enhance the experience for all attendees and enable them to stay better connected with loved ones, while also celebrating the heritage that binds us together”.

Neil Paynter, the president of St George’s Cricket Club, said he was “delighted” at the partnership.

“Cup Match is not just about cricket; it's about fostering a sense of camaraderie, celebrating our shared history and making lasting memories.

“With Digicel on board, we can ensure that fans and supporters can stay connected and share in the passion of the game, regardless of where they are.”

Digicel promised “seamless access to connectivity” throughout the Annual Classic, with access through various digital platforms and giveaways throughout Cup Match for attendees.
