Cytora adds to global advisory board
Two insurance industry veterans with strong Bermuda connections have joined the global advisory board of Cytora, the London-headquartered insurtech.
Bronek Masojada, chairman of SiriusPoint and formerly CEO of Hiscox, and Jeffrey Hayman, chairman of R&Q Insurance Holdings and former board member of Zurich Insurance Group, are among the newest recruits.
They are joined by John Bruno, president of Xerox and former group COO & CEO of Data & Analytic Services of Aon and Bill Bloom, former CIO and head of operations at both The Hartford and Travelers.
The company said the move is designed to support Cytora’s global growth.
The group join other insurance industry leaders on the advisory board including Kelly Lyles, board member at Convex and Howden Group; Thomas Huerlimann, board member of Hiscox and former CEO of Zurich Global Corporate; Adrian Brown, former UK CEO RSA; Karen Green, board member of Miller Insurance Services and Phoenix Group Holdings; and Alan Morgan, former senior partner at McKinsey and head of financial services.
The appointments follow a period of significant growth for Cytora, the company said.
Mr Hayman said: “Cytora is one of the most exciting insurtechs around. In a very short period of time it has secured an impressive client base including some of the world’s biggest insurers.
“You do not land these businesses as clients unless you bring something compelling to the table. I look forward to helping Cytora on its journey to becoming a major global growth company.”
Richard Hartley, CEO and cofounder of Cytora, said: “I’d like to welcome our new advisers to the advisory board.
“Digital transformation is at the top of the boardroom agenda and it is a difficult area for insurance companies to navigate and achieve enduring success.
“We are pleased to bring together such a breadth of expertise to help lead the industry forward.”
