New CHW division heads named
Janice Gutteridge has been appointed head of corporate at law firm Cox Hallett Wilkinson Limited.
The firm has also named Jenny Farrer as head of the corporate service provider, Coson Corporate Services Limited.
Ms Gutteridge’s appointment comes after the retirement from the firm of Ernest Morrison, who CHW described as one of Bermuda’s leading corporate lawyers.
The firm said: “Ernest’s practice spanned several decades during which time he garnered the immense respect of the legal community and was invaluable to the firm’s success.”
CHW’s chief executive officer, Craig Rothwell, said: “Janice brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role acquired during her legal career with CHW over the past 16 years.
“With an impressive track record of accomplishments, Janice is well equipped to lead the corporate department and continue the firm’s commitment to providing high-quality legal services both locally and internationally.
“While there could not be a harder task than to step into Ernest’s shoes and follow the immeasurable contributions he made to the firm, we have every confidence in Janice’s ability to do so.”
Jenny Farrer takes over as the new head of its corporate administration company, Coson, after contributing significantly to the Bermuda corporate landscape with a different law firm.
CHW’s chairman, Kim White, stated: “In the short time that Jenny has been with us, she has already proven to be a vital asset with a series of early accomplishments demonstrating her high level of expertise, enthusiasm and commitment.
“We could not be more delighted that she has chosen to join our leadership team. I look forward to seeing how both Janice and Jenny continue to assist with the development of CHW."
