There was trading in 2,716 shares of Butterfield Bank on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, but with no change to the closing price of $33.

Meanwhile, in New York, the bank’s shares were up 59 cents, or 1.76 per cent, at $34.05.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,207.58, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 20.29 points, or 1.2 per cent, at 1,670.86.

Separately, Butterfield Bank advised the BSX that during last month it purchased, for treasury, 150,000 of its shares at a n average price of $32.58 per share.
