Visitor in intensive care after accident with truck

A visitor is in intensive care after a collision with a water truck on South Road, Warwick.

Officers were called to the scene at about 7.15pm yesterday and were told that the pedestrian, a man visiting the island, attempted to cross the street near Marley Beach when the collision occurred.

The man was unconscious at the scene with a suspected severe head injury.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment in the intensive care unit.

Traffic diversions were in place at the South Road intersections with Dunscombe Road and Warwick Lane.

An investigation is under way and anyone with information is asked to call Tashun Simons on 295-0011 or e-mail tsimons2@bps.bm.
