Atlantic Canadian university fair to be held next week
Prospective university students and their families can learn more about Canadian schools at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute next week.
The Atlantic Canada Education fair will be held from 5pm to 7pm on November 7.
Highlighting the history of Bermudian students attending Atlantic Canadian schools, Jenny Calder, international recruitment specialist at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, said: “We are delighted to come together to offer guidance to students as they complete their applications, apply for scholarships and continue their research into which institution is the best fit.
“It is important to us that we offer in-person support for our future Bermudian students — whether you are a senior student, finalising your application, or are in the beginning stages of planning for higher education, we look forward to assisting you.
“Canada is internationally recognised for its high-quality education, and this event is the perfect opportunity to explore the wide range of programmes at our institutions.”
In addition to Saint Mary’s, attendees will get to meet representatives from Acadia, Mount Saint Vincent, St Francis Xavier, Mount Allison, Kings and Dalhousie universities at the public event.
Ms Calder added: “Beyond academic programmes, people can expect to learn more about scholarships, working while studying, student life and valuable experiential learning opportunities.”
