Proud of Bermuda for standing with oppressed
As the world turns, more and more atrocities are revealed. The world wide web is surely living up to its name. Like a web, it attaches itself in strategic places, concealing its works of wonder, yet encompassing its environment and manifesting and revealing what used to be hidden.
What has been happening for the past 80 years and what continues to happen has been exposed. In my opinion, we are seeing genocide of the Palestinian people. This week the oppressor put the world back in darkness, trying to shut down awareness of the truth by demolishing and destroying the internet and mobile systems, completely immobilising communications with the outside world. Why would this be done?
For starters, the people of the world now know the full and true story and are seeing the abominable actions being taken. The voices of the human family are saying “stop” the genocide. How wicked to target and murder children.
The networks may be disabled, but not the voices of the world. The international community has seen the truth and it will not be silent and watch the inhumanity continue. The truth is out and is here to stay, to be a force to be reckoned with for peace and justice and equality. Truth always prevails over falsehood.
Allah says in his noble Koran that he will not change the condition of a people until they change for themselves and that is what we’re doing: we the people of the world are changing our condition against evil. We will surely get the help of Allah as he has promised.
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.” (Desmond Tutu)
Countries from every corner of the world have raised their voices and given support to the oppressed peoples. I am proud of Bermuda and the way it has peacefully demonstrated to protest against the actions of the oppressor.
In the Holy Koran 17:70, Allah says “Everyone’s God-given human dignity must be respected, regardless of his or her faith, race, ethnic origin, gender, or social status. Since everyone is created by God Almighty, the Maker of all, humans must treat one another with full honour, love, respect and fairness.”
Bermuda keep up the good work of joining together with the nations of the world to whom are raising their voices in unison in support of justice and peace for all.
The struggle continues.
As salaam alaikum (Peace be unto You).
