Salvatore Collura joins Ascot

Bermudian-based Ascot Group has appointed Salvatore Collura to the position of senior vice-president, private and non-profit management liability.

Mr Collura, who takes up the post on November 14, will be based in New York, reporting to Brian Chiolan, head of management and professional liability.

Mr Collura will be responsible for executing the strategic plan for Ascot’s private and non-profit D&O business and driving the expansion and development of products and services in this space.

He joins Ascot from Coaction Specialty Insurance Group, where he was responsible for starting up their private and not-for-profit sub vertical.

Mr Collura previously worked at Everest, Chubb and AIG.

The company said Ascot Financial Lines is a core segment for Ascot US, and one of the company’s largest specialty businesses.

The segment includes more than 50 underwriting professionals across public and private D&O, financial institutions, cyber, E&O and healthcare professional liability, as well as a dedicated in-house claims team that specialises in these business units.
