Warren Jones has had his last day as the chief executive of Polaris Holdings and resigned from the board of directors as of the end of October.

Now officially retired from the company, Mr Jones had been with Polaris for nearly a decade.

A statement from the company filed with the Bermuda Stock Exchange said he is credited with transforming the corporate culture at the firm to one of trust and mutual respect and building shareholder value for the company, which had endured decades of management challenges before his arrival.

Polaris is the parent of companies that include Hamilton docks operator Stevedoring Services.

Randy Rochester was officially installed as the CEO in September, with the support of Mr Jones in the transition period.

Mr Jones said: “I remain grateful for the near decade of support from our board and the employees of Polaris, who have become more like family to me. This has truly been an enjoyable and fulfilling role and I wish the team much success moving forward.”
