Winter ferry schedule in effect

Ferry routes have been reduced for the winter season (file photograph)

The winter ferry schedule came into effect earlier this week.

Under the new schedule, effective Monday, the last ferry leaves Hamilton for Dockyard at 4.30pm during the week and 4.45pm on weekends and holidays.

An additional run will depart the city at 6pm when cruise ships are berthed in Dockyard.

This contrasts with the summer schedule, when the last blue route ferry departed the city at 8.30pm on weeknights except Wednesdays, 6.15pm on weekends and holidays, and 10.30pm on Wednesdays.

The orange line, which runs between Dockyard and St George’s, is suspended for the winter season.

Schedules for the pink route, which services Warwick and Paget, as well as the green route, which goes to Watford Bridge and Cavello Bay in Sandys and Rockaway in Southampton, are unchanged from the summer schedule.
