MarketPlace Christmas Parade returns to Hamilton
The annual MarketPlace Christmas Parade will this year return to its normal route through the City of Hamilton for the first time since the pandemic.
While the festive event was held in 2020, 2021 and 2022, it adopted a “drive-by” approach with floats travelling from the Shelly Bay MarketPlace to the Heron Bay MarketPlace.
Seth Stutzman, president of the MarketPlace group of companies, said: “The MarketPlace Christmas Parade is more than just a parade, it is a beloved tradition that creates cherished family memories.
“Recognising the community’s longing for the tradition, excitement and communal spirit that the parade instils, we felt it was time to bring it back to the city.
“We are so excited to return to the streets of Hamilton with a grand celebration to kick-off the holiday season, featuring a big surprise and much more.”
The parade, scheduled to take place on December 3, will start at 5pm travelling along Front, Court and Church Streets.
In addition to various floats, the parade will include Gombey troupes, DanceSations, PHC Majorettes, the Royal Bermuda Regiment Band and a visit by Santa Claus.
