Some 3,100 shares in Buttefield Bank changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The stock closed at $31.50, up a dollar (3.3 per cent).
Overseas, Butterfield closed up 78 cents (2.43 per cent) at $32.94 on the New York Stock Exchange.
