Police still investigating serious two-motorcycle collision
A serious collision between two motorcycles in Hamilton Parish on Tuesday evening remains under police investigation.
The Bermuda Police Service said on social media that the incident took place on North Shore Road near the entrance to Workmen’s Lane.
Police said that a male rider had been driving east on North Shore Road when he attempted a right turn on to Workmen’s Lane at 6.15pm.
He crossed the path of a westbound auxiliary cycle and the two vehicles collided.
The male rider, who suffered a severe leg injury as well as a suspected head injury, was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where, at last check, he was continuing to receive treatment.
The female rider of the auxiliary cycle suffered minor bruising to her hip and hands.
She was attended to at the scene by EMTs from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service.
Traffic was restricted to a single lane while the scene was processed.
