Man banned from roads after bike crash
A man who crashed his bike in Paget has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Aram Douglas, 31, admitted riding while impaired by alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that Douglas, from Smith’s, lost control of his bike on South Road on May 8.
He was lying in the eastbound lane after the incident and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Douglas told officers at the hospital that he had “about four drinks” before getting on his bike.
In addition to being banned, Douglas was fined $1,500.
