A summer internship programme offered by the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers organisation is open for applications.

Biltir encouraged young Bermudians interested in a career in the life and annuities industry to apply for its annual programme, which is open for applications from Bermudian university or college students who are studying actuarial science, accounting, investments, finance or law.

Thirteen Biltir member companies have signed up for the ten-week programme, which runs from June 10 until August 16.

There are 21 places available and Biltir is encouraging applicants to apply early to avoid disappointment.

“Biltir is committed to delivering a rewarding and educational experience to all of our participants through this year’s intern programme,” said Biltir executive director Christine Patton.

“Biltir remains focused on developing the next generation of talent here in Bermuda and attracting Bermudian university graduates to the Bermuda life reinsurance sector.”

The Biltir companies taking part are The Argus Group, Agam Bermuda ISAC Ltd, Athene, Hannover Re, Global Atlantic, Kuvare, Legal and General, Resolution Re, Prosperity, RGA, Somerset Re, Wilton Re and Sun Life.

Biltir said it was encouraging more companies to take part in the intern programme.
