The Department of Education is updating the academic calendar owing to revised closure dates.

Schools will be closed on April 18 for a professional development day and on April 19 for the Agricultural Exhibition.

The 81st Ag Show takes place at the Botanical Gardens a week earlier than last year owing to the responsibility for that event unexpectedly returning to the Government for the first time in many years.

A letter was sent to parents from the office of Kalmar Richards, the Commissioner of Education, which said: “We encourage parents and guardians to attend the annual exhibition with their children.

“Schools will also be closed on May 23 for professional development and May 24 for the Bermuda Day holiday.

“The department said the calendar for the 2024-25 year will be released before the February break.”
