Car falls off embankment on North Shore Road
A car toppled off of North Shore Road yesterday during the height of evening traffic.
A police spokesman said that officers were called to a single-vehicle crash on the road’s intersection with Stepney Lane in Pembroke at about 5.15pm.
The car, driven by a 31-year-old man, appeared to be travelling in an eastern direction when it hit the adjacent wooden guard rail.
The car then slid off the road and went over an embankment.
Police said that the driver did not appear to be injured in the incident.
The area was cordoned off with traffic cones shortly after the crash and traffic was reduced to a one-lane system until about 6pm.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the Roads Policing Unit at 247-1788, or the main police number, 295-0011.
