CFA Society Bermuda gearing up for annual forecast dinner
Nanette Abuhoff Jacobson is to be the keynote speaker at the annual forecast dinner held by the Chartered Financial Analyst Society Bermuda.
The dinner will take place on Thursday at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.
The keynote speaker is the managing director and multi-asset strategist for Wellington Management, an independent investment management firm with a global portfolio exceeding $1 trillion.
The CFA Society said Wellington's robust history in Bermuda spanned almost 30 years, particularly in insurance asset management, where they serve as fiduciaries for more than 160 insurers, managing assets exceeding $145 billion.
Boston-based Ms Abuhoff Jacobson has more than 25 years of experience in the capital markets. As the global investment strategist, she analyses and interprets markets and investment opportunities, the CFA Society said.
She also advises Wellington Management’s institutional clients, including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, and central banks, consulting on strategic asset-allocation issues to develop multi-asset investment solutions.
Pamela DaCosta, president of the CFA Society Bermuda, said: “We are excited to be hosting the annual forecast dinner once again to discuss the state of the global economy and looking at the thematic forces influencing the financial markets.”
The organisation said Ms Abuhoff Jacobson’s insights would focus on asset allocation strategies, which would provide valuable guidance to investors as they navigated the risks and rewards in 2024.
It added that the annual forecast dinner was geared to address the most pressing issues facing today's investors and to shed light on leading market indicators in the coming months.
The dinner is the marquee event of the CFA Society Bermuda and is regularly attended by 200 investment professionals, industry experts and finance enthusiasts interested in learning about finance and the economy.
