A man has been remanded in custody on firearms and drug-related charges.

Iyuan Smith, 22, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with possession of a gun and ammunition without a licence.

He was also charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

Smith was not required to enter a plea as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case until the Supreme Court’s March arraignments session.

She remanded Smith, from St George’s, in custody.
