Temporary crossing in place near Front Street building works
A temporary crossing has been introduced on Front Street owing to building work for a nine-storey office block.
The unit is to become the new global headquarters for Brookfield Reinsurance and the company’s Bermudian-domiciled listed affiliates: Brookfield Property Partners, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, Brookfield Renewable Partners and Brookfield Business Partners.
Plans for the site also include retail space on the ground floor and along Chancery Lane.
The City of Hamilton reminded the public today that owing to construction work at 91 Front Street by a private contractor, a temporary crossing was created to help pedestrians cross to the southern side of the street.
It added: “The City is advising pedestrians to exercise caution and stay alert when using the new crosswalk and urging motorists to be vigilant for pedestrians at this location.”
