Claire Schrader named general counsel at Lloyd’s
Lloyd’s has appointed Claire Schrader as general counsel, responsible for managing legal risk at the London-based organisation.
Ms Schrader has been in the role on an interim basis since last August. She remains a member of Lloyd’s executive committee.
Lloyd’s said the appointee is a qualified solicitor with more than 20 years’ experience in law and the insurance sector. She joined the organisation in 2020.
John Neal, Lloyd’s chief executive officer, said: “During Claire’s time at Lloyd’s she has built a strong reputation among her colleagues in the corporation and throughout the market as a trusted legal adviser.
“She is a great role model for our future leaders, and I’m extremely pleased to confirm her permanently in a role which is critical to Lloyd’s delivering on its strategic priorities.”
