Government invites feedback on homeless plan

The Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors urged the public to provide their feedback on a plan to address homelessness.

The first phase of the consultation period for the Draft Plan to End Homelessness is scheduled to end today.

Tineé Furbert, the Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, said: “As we continue the journey to ending homelessness in Bermuda, we are reminded of the power of community engagement.

“To make a plan that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community, we must have feedback from the community.

“Bermuda, your feedback is invaluable in fortifying this plan to truly reflect the needs and aspirations of our community.

“After considering all of your input, the comprehensive strategic plan will be finalised and published in April 2024 for subsequent execution.”

The draft plan is available for reading online at forum.gov.bm.

A final community consultation session on the plan is scheduled to take place from 6pm to 7pm on March 5 at the Chamber of Commerce in Hamilton.
