Motorists have been warned to take precautions this weekend as runners take to the streets for the popular Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10K.

The run, along with a four-mile walk, are scheduled to take place between 8.30am and 10am on Sunday.

The 10K race will start at Lindo’s Home Foods on Middle Road in Warwick with runners travelling east on Middle Road, and then on to South Road before turning on to Collector’s Hill and travelling west on to Middle Road.

Participants will continue on to Chaingate Hill and then Watlington Road East before finishing the race at Lindo’s Devonshire.

The four-mile walk will largely follow the same route on to South Road. However, walkers will turn on to Brighton Hill Road and Watlington Road East before reaching the finish line.

A notice from the Ministry of Public Works said in an official notice of the event: “There will be police officers present at Paget traffic lights, Trimingham Roundabout and Collectors Hill traffic lights to aid with traffic control.

“There will be no road closures. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with race participants.

“The race route will be under the control of police officers. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the police officers to assist with traffic control for this event.”
