A Warwick man has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman on two separate occasions.

The defendant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty in the Supreme Court to two counts of sexual assault in connection with incidents that took place on October 2 and November 3 last year.

The man also denied a charge that he unlawfully recorded the victim, who too cannot be identified, while she was engaged in a private act on October 2.

He also pleaded not guilty to charges that he unlawfully assaulted her on November 3 and stole a $1,000 Apple iPhone from the victim on the same date.

The man was released on bail until June 3, when the matter is expected to return before the courts.

The matter was one of several heard during a busy arraignments session on Friday.

Stephen Thompson, 40, also appeared before the court to deny a charge that, between an unknown date and December 16, 2022, he had a prohibited weapon.

The Pembroke man also pleaded not guilty to a count of possessing ammunition without a licence during the same time period.

Mr Thompson was released on bail until May 1, when the matter is expected to return to the Supreme Court to be mentioned.

Dario Parfitt, 33, from Hamilton Parish, denied a string of offences that are alleged to have taken place on December 29, 2023.

Mr Parfitt pleaded not guilty to charges of threatening to murder, unlawfully breaking a window at a home on My Lord's Bay Road and prowling around that area without a lawful excuse.

He was released on bail until the May arraignment session, when the matter is scheduled to be mentioned.
