Date set for potential Premier Division title decider
Champions PHC Zebras and North Village will lock horns in the potential Premier Division title decider in the final game of the league campaign.
The Bermuda Football Association have confirmed the two rivals will do battle on April 2 at a venue yet to be determined.
They were originally due to meet in the penultimate fixture of the season at Bernard Park on March 16, but the match was moved as a result of Bermuda’s involvement in the inaugural Fifa Series in Saudi Arabia.
Village hold a one-point advantage at the top of the standings over PHC, who dropped precious points after being held to a draw by Paget Lions in their previous outing.
The BFA have also announced the revised schedule for the remaining Premier Division matches.
Village will host relegation-threatened Somerset Trojans at Bernard Park, PHC are at home to relegated X-Roads Warriors while Hamilton Parish will do battle with Young Men’s Social Club at Wellington Oval, with those matches taking place on March 30.
The relegation battle has gone down to the wire with only three points separating eighth-placed Social Club from ninth -place Trojans, who sit in the red zone.
Devonshire Cougars will host Dandy Town at Devonshire Recreation while Paget Lions are at home to FA Cup finalists St George’s Colts at Southampton Oval the following day.
Holders Village and St George’s will then close out the season in the FA Cup final at Flora Duffy Stadium on April 7.
