A physician with more than 20 years of experience is one of Bermuda’s newest ear, nose and throat surgeons.

ENT Health Practice Limited has appointed Giuseppe Grando, who specialises in head and neck oncology, to its practice in response to a shortage of ENT specialists on the island.

Dr Grando earned a medical degree from the University of Trieste and was an ENT consultant at the Instituta di Ricoveraro e Cura a Carattere Scientifico’s National Cancer Institute Foundation in Milan since 1996.

He was also acting chief of the ENT department at Azienda Sanitaria Friuli Occidentale in Pordenone from 2016 to 2020.

Dr Grando said he looked forward to “contributing to the advancement of ENT care in Bermuda and improving the lives of our patients, their families and the community”.

Wesley Miller, the practice’s founder and head surgeon, said Dr Grando’s appointment allowed the centre to “provide comprehensive and timely ENT services to meet the growing healthcare demands of the community” and “underscores our practice's commitment to ensuring accessible and high-quality care for all patients in Bermuda”.

Dr Grando’s expertise will also allow the practice to “address a broader range of complex cases and provide cutting-edge treatment options”.
