Motorsport fans were treated to a spectacle of adrenalin-fuelled excitement as the Bermuda Karting, Drag Racing and Motorcycle Racing Associations, hosted the Lindo’s Double Header Race Weekend.
The event offered spectators at Southside Motor Sports Park the opportunity to enjoy action from across the three disciplines with karts, drag racing and street bikes all taking to the track.
For the kart drivers is was not only a chance to battle for trophies across the weekend, but also earn valuable points towards the National Championships standings.
In the highly competitive L206 Senior class, Jason North was the dominant force, coming out on top after winning three out of four heats. Robert Wheatley, who also grabbed a race win, finished second overall, with Marc Tucker in third.
In the corresponding Masters class, David Barbosa took the top honours, claiming three wins out of four, with Jeff Sousa, winner of heat two, finishing runner-up. Richard Walker-Talbot completed the overall podium places.
Guest driver Mario Gil, of Canada, showed his pedigree in the Shifter KZ class, winning two out of four races to prevail. However, he did not have it all his own way across the weekend with local drivers Ryan Rebello and Blake Horseman also picking up a victory apiece, with the latter taking the runner-up spot overall.
