Bermudians promoted at Ariel Re
Several Bermudians are among 13 staff promoted at global reinsurer, Ariel Re.
Seven of the 13 are in the Bermuda office and the other six are in London, including two who relocated from the island.
Last year, Ariel Re first announced its drive to become an “academy firm”, which will support and develop talent in the reinsurance industry.
The new promotions cover a range of roles from software development to underwriting, accounting, portfolio management, analytics and actuarial.
Lindsay Hyland, head of Human Resources, said: “It is great to celebrate our deep talent pool at Ariel Re by promoting these excellent individuals.
“These appointments underline our mission to become an ‘academy firm’ and to promote, support and celebrate the vast amount of talent we have at the company.
“I look forward to helping these talented individuals as they continue to develop in our London and Bermuda offices.”
Staff members in new roles at the Bermuda office include: Cameron Cooper, VP, actuary; Catarina Correia, reinsurance analyst; JayLynn Hines, underwriter, cyber; Katie Dilke, VP, head of non-cat analytics and actuarial pricing; Meghan Sherwin, reinsurance analyst; Morgan Siese, human resources generalist; and Sophia Marshall, assistant manager, operations.
In London: Brian Darling, AVP, portfolio management; Connor Lockett, software developer; Emily Leitch, SVP, head of marine and specialty lines; Neil Pohlman, AVP, portfolio management; Roman Sklyar, AVP, portfolio management; and Ruhal Miah, senior analyst, portfolio management.
