Traffic restrictions for Ag Show announced

The Department of Parks has advised the public about traffic arrangements that will be in place for the Ag Show this month.

The Agricultural Exhibition, as the event is officially known, will take place at the Botanical Gardens from April 18 to 20.

Traffic flow will be in an easterly direction between the junction of Camden North and Tee Street.

Traffic will not be permitted to turn on to Berry Hill Road from Tee Street to head west.

Exceptions at Berry Hill Road will be made for emergency vehicles, doctors’ vehicles with authorised licence plates, and for travelling to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Signs will be erected where neighbourhood roads meet Berry Hill Road instructing vehicles to head east.

Westerly flow of traffic will be permitted from the entrance at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital towards the intersection of Point Finger Road.

South Road and Point Finger Road will remain as two-way traffic routes, as will Berry Hill Road between Point Finger Road and Crow Lane.

Entrances and exits to the Ag Show will be as follows:

• West gate on Point Finger Road: pedestrians only

• Southwest gate on South Road:Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Parks and administrative staff vehicles

• South gate on South Road: entrance and exit for pedestrians; entrance for vehicles

• Southeast gate on South Road: exit only for vehicles

• North gate on Berry Hill Road: entrance and exit for pedestrians; entrance for vehicles

• Northwest show ring gate on Berry Hill Road: entrance for physically challenged people

• Old garage service entrance on South Road: Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, Department of Parks vehicles, equestrian vehicles and trailers.

Parking will not be permitted on South Road between Point Finger Road and Tee Street, on Tee Street between Middle Road and South Road, or on Point Finger Road between South Road and Berry Hill Road.

On Berry Hill Road, parking for vehicles assigned to physically challenged people will be designated on the south side of Berry Hill Road, west of the North gate of Botanical Gardens. Vehicles must display a parking badge.
