Three races to take to the roads on Sunday morning
Three race events will take to the island’s roads on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works advised.
Road closures will be in effect for Warwick Academy’s fun run and walk, from 8.30am to 10am.
Participants set out from Morgan Road, on to Harbour Road, with a route back to the school.
Closures will affect Harbour Road from Cobbs Hill Road to the junction of Burnt House Hill and Middle Road, as well as the Harbour Road access from Cobbs Hill Road, Keith Hall Road and Tamarind Vale.
The junction of Morgan Road and Middle Road will be closed only at the start of the race.
Queries can be directed to race representative Jill Finnigan on 505-8106.
No roads will be closed for the Bermuda National Gallery’s Run for the Arts 5K, from 8.30am to 10.45am.
However, marshals will direct traffic.
Runners will set out from the park at Parsons Road, Pembroke, and into Hamilton, following Happy Valley Road to Montpelier Road in Devonshire and taking Marsh Folly Road back to Parsons Road.
Queries can be directed to race representatives Donna Raynor on 533-7410, or Nhuri Bashir on 595-8269.
Marshalls and police will also direct traffic for the Bermuda Bicycle Association Bicycle Works Road Race between 7.30am and 11am, starting and ending at Astwood Park on South Road, Warwick.
Cyclists will set out east, turn left on to St Paul's Lane, and take Middle Road to Lighthouse Road before proceeding east on South Road to the finish line.
Questions can be directed to race representative Jennifer Lightbourne on 777-2477.
