Butterfield up 30 cents on NYSE

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 1.73 per cent
The RG/BSX Index finished at 2,282.64 on Thursday, down 40.23 points (1.73 per cent) on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Butterfield Bank was the only local stock to see activity with 400 shares trading to close at $30.25, down 75 cents (2.4 per cent).
However, two international companies saw activity with 30,000 Shore Capital shares changing hands to close at $1.80, up 10 per cent. HSBC Holdings had 8,045 shares moving to end the day at $5, up 50 cents (9.09 per cent).
The total turnover for the day was $40,225 US dollars, and $12,100 Bermuda dollars.
Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank was up 30 cents (0.99 per cent) to finish at $30.46, with 256,243 shares trading.
