Temporary no-fly zone announced for SailGP
A temporary no-fly zone will be established over the Great Sound for the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix.
The Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority said that the restriction will ban non-participating aircraft, including drones, for the safety of the participants and spectators.
Banned aircraft also include microlights, gliders, airships and balloons.
A BCAA spokeswoman said that an approved helicopter will be flying through the airspace, and that a notice to airmen had been sent to the aviation community.
She added: “The BCAA would also like to remind the public that, as usual, rules and regulations are in place for the use of drones and other small unmanned aircraft, including the five permanent no-fly zones.”

The temporary no-fly zone will be in effect between 9am and 5pm from Thursday through Sunday.
