BEDC hosts event for culinary business
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation is hosting a lunch and learn session to help those involved in, or interested in, a culinary business.
Those registered will be taught how to understand legal food service requirements, rental timelines and processes and connect with other culinary industry professionals.
The BEDC said: “Join our lunch and learn session to navigate the essentials of starting and expanding your culinary business in Bermuda.
“This event features key insights into health regulations and rental opportunities, alongside guidance from William Spriggs and Chelsea Warren of the BEDC.”
The Recipe for Success: A Guide to the BEDC Commercial Kitchen Program is being held at the BEDC training room at Sofia House on Church Street in Hamilton, on Thursday May 9. There is a small admission fee for non-members and an even smaller fee for members.
The BEDC said: “This event is tailored specifically for food, snack and beverage service providers and those interested in the culinary business landscape in Bermuda.
“Scheduled for 12.30pm to 1.30pm, our session promises a blend of insightful discussion and networking opportunities over light refreshments.
“During this session, William Spriggs and Chelsea Warren of the Economic & Co-operative Development Unit at BEDC will guide you through the nuances of the BEDC commercial kitchen programme, focusing on critical health department regulations, including licences, approvals and inspections.
“Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand, understanding these regulations is key to your success.
“Additionally, we will unveil future rental opportunities within the BEDC and Bermuda College Commercial Kitchen spaces. Learn about the rental timeline, application process, and how you can benefit from these facilities.
“This lunch and learn is an invaluable opportunity to gain direct insights from the experts and connect with fellow industry professionals.”
