Red tape reduction consultation extended by a week
An opportunity to hear from residents about how government processes can be streamlined and ways to cut down on red tape was extended until May 10.
Almost 80 submissions were received for the Red Tape Reduction project after a consultation period was launched in March, the Cabinet Office said.
The consultation period will be extended for a week to allow more people to provide feedback.
A statement from the Cabinet Office said that the process was started by David Burt, the Premier and Minister of Finance, “to hear directly from the community about what regulations they feel can be reduced, streamlined or made more efficient within Government”.
It added: “We thank those members of the community who have already shared their feedback. And we are extending the opportunity for another week so that more residents can have their say.”
People who would like to make submissions can do so in the public forum on the Government’s website.
