Roadworks to take place in Warwick and Southampton

The western portions of a main road will be hit with temporary closures as repairs to Belco power lines take place, the Ministry of Public Works said yesterday.

Work will take place outside Barnes Corner Park on Middle Road in Southampton between May 13 and May 16.

It will then move in front of Warwick Lanes on Middle Road between May 20 and May 23.

Middle Road near Heron Bay Primary School will be reduced to a one-lane closure between May 27 and May 30.

The work will then move further along Middle Road to Camp Hill between June 3 and June 6.

The roadworks will take place between 7.30am and 6pm and will be managed by “stop/go” signs, traffic lights and cones.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to take alternative routes along South Road and Harbour Road.

Keith Hall Road in Warwick will also have a lane closure for roadworks near its junction with Harbour Road.

Work will start on May 16 and take place between 9am and 4pm. It will be managed by Ascendant Technologies staff using “stop/go” signs.

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes along Morgan’s Road and Longford Road.
