Government department experiences phone problems

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has urged clients to contact them by e-mail after facing problems with phones at its Botanical Gardens headquarters.

A government spokeswoman said that most landlines, including the general switchboard operator number, were being repaired after issues arose.

The spokeswoman said that until the issues are resolved, the public is urged to contact the DENR by e-mail at plants@gov.bm, animals@gov.bm or pollutioncontrol@gov.bm

“DENR can also advise that from now until May 23 payment clerks will not accept payments between 1pm and 2.15pm,” the spokeswoman added.

“Regular payment services will resume on May 27. The department thanks the public for their patience and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.”
