Fortitude Re promotes Carla Albertze
Bermudian-based Fortitude Re has appointed Carla Albertze as senior vice-president, head of Internal Audit.
She will be responsible for leading Fortitude Re’s internal audit team to ensure the strength, effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance procedures.
Ms Albertze recently served as vice-president, Internal Audit, where she performed audits in a number of areas including deal pricing, model risk management, system implementations, data migrations and enterprise risk management.
She joined Fortitude Re from KPMG, where she focused on performing external audits of US Securities and Exchange Commission registrants.
During her tenure at KPMG, Fortitude Re said, she spent many years working with clients in the reinsurance industry.
Ms Albertze is a certified chartered accountant and a member of both the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.
