BHB MRI equipment repaired

The Bermuda Hospitals Board’s MRI equipment is back in operation after repairs were carried out.

A BHB spokeswoman said the equipment went through its first day of scanning yesterday and urgent patients were prioritised.

Patients were earlier alerted that repairs were required and the board said anyone scheduled for time-sensitive tests could be referred to other providers.

The BHB spokeswoman added today: “Expanded hours are being offered to people who had their MRI examinations postponed to ensure they are scanned as soon as possible.

“We thank all our patients for their understanding.”
