Axa staff help charities on day of giving
Staff from Axa XL took part in projects across the island as part of the company’s recent Global Day of Giving.
More than 4,000 Axa XL staff around the world volunteered their time and talent to charitable organisations in their communities by participating in 240 projects.
Bermudian-based employees engaged in a variety of projects involving local charities.
They helped to paint two offices at The Reading Clinic, deep cleaned the Meals on Wheels kitchen and painted the building’s common areas.
Staff worked with Keep Bermuda Beautiful by picking up trash in the Palmetto Road, Barker’s Hill, and North Shore Road, in Devonshire.
They also helped to organise the pantry at the Eliza DoLittle Society as well as help pack food and stock shelves.
At Windreach, the staff carried out various maintenance tasks and at Tomorrow’s Voices they painted rooms, moved filing cabinets and did general cleaning.
At the National Museum of Bermuda they helped with the conservation of its collection of artillery.
The Global Day of Giving was part of Axa’s Week for Good.
