The island’s snow sports enthusiasts have banded together to raise more than $1,500 for charity.

The Bermuda Snow Society, founded to make snow sports more accessible to residents, raised the funds at a social event on Thursday.

The gathering at the Milan Milan café on Front Street brought together snow sports enthusiasts from across the island.

A spokesman called it “a resounding success, drawing a vibrant crowd eager to share their passion or intrigue for skiing and snowboarding”.

Patrons shared stories of mountain adventures, and a heartfelt tribute to founder Grace Munro’s late brother, Harrison Owens, whose memory inspired the club’s creation.

The funds will be donated to the Friends of Hospice charity supporting Agape House and hospice care in Bermuda.

The society said it welcomes anyone interested in learning more or sharing their love of the mountains, and aims to foster a close-knit community through events and activities.
