Shireen Gammoh has been appointed as managing director within the Legacy and Structured Reinsurance team in the Bermuda office of Howden Re.

Ms Gammoh, who takes up her new position on July 17, was most recently global head of Capital Advisory and Modelling at Gallagher Re.

Prior to that, she served as head of Capital and Reinsurance Analytics at Flood Re and spent nearly a decade at Canopius Group.

Seth Ruff, managing director and head of Legacy & Structured Reinsurance, Howden Re, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Shireen to our team.

“Her experience in capital modelling and innovative approaches to risk and capital management will be invaluable as we continue to expand our legacy business, enhancing our ability to provide end-to-end advisory services for our clients.”

Howden Re said its legacy business, established in 2015, has been a pioneer in the market since its inception.

It said the team has a track record of closing some of the industry’s largest deals, with transactions ranging from $100 million to $35 billion of reserves, and offering rich insights into legacy specialist reinsurers and their investors through Howden Capital Markets & Advisory.
