Rob Cole joins Markel

Markel, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc, has appointed Rob Cole as chief actuarial officer.
Mr Cole spent the past 24 years at AIG, where his most recent role was chief actuary, Global Pricing.
Throughout his career, Markel said, he has held multiple leadership roles both in the US and UK, supporting pricing and reserving disciplines across a wide range of products.
Mr Cole will succeed Ron Herrig, who will be retiring at the end of 2024 after a 28-year career with Markel.
