Hamilton Global Specialty, an underwriting platform of Bermudian-headquartered Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd, has appointed Todd LaBandt as senior vice-president, Environmental Insurance at Hamilton Americas, its US managing agency.

He will report to Pepe Marquez, president, Hamilton Americas.

Hamilton Global Specialty CEO Adrian Daws said: “I’m delighted to welcome Todd to our team. His comprehensive experience with risk assessment and underwriting a full range of environmental insurance products will be distinct advantages as we continue to develop our US environmental product offering.”

The company said Mr LaBandt has more than 20 years of environmental experience.

He joins Hamilton following almost 14 years at Westchester, a Chubb company, where he most recently served as vice-president and chief underwriting officer of Environmental for the past eight years.
