WindReach, a charity offering educational and therapeutic programmes to people with support needs, has a received a $25,000 donation from the Aurum Kaleidoscope Foundation.

The charity said the donation was pivotal, as the non-profit is celebrating 25 years of work.

WindReach said its mission was “to enrich the quality of life for individuals with diverse support needs in Bermuda”.

A representative said the charity’s programmes “have been inspiring, empowering and changing lives for 25 years, and we are delighted that the foundation sees the value in the breadth of our work”.

The representative said that because WindReach worked with some of island’s most vulnerable, it relied heavily on individual and corporate financial support.

The Aurum Kaleidoscope Foundation was created to promote the advancement of environmental conservation, social welfare and education by providing grants.

Its trustees said the foundation was “constantly impressed with the excellent work WindReach undertakes in Bermuda to ensure every person’s diverse support needs are met by their therapeutic and educational programmes”.

They added: “We look forward to seeing how their programmes continue to evolve and develop over the next 25 years.”
