Conan Ward joins Solis Re

Bermuda market veteran Conan Ward has been named interim CEO at Florida-based Solis Re.
Mr Ward succeeds company founder Andy Downey, who died earlier this month at the age of 58.
The interim boss has a strong Bermuda connection.
He was executive vice-president, Global Reinsurance, at Axis Capital from 2001-2006; chief underwriting officer and then chief executive at Validus Re, 2006-2012; CEO of Hamilton USA, 2013-2015; and chairman, US Specialty and Bermuda, Willis Re, 2017-2019.
