Impaired driver banned for 18 months

A motorist who was stopped by police along Crow Lane has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.

Hugh Masters, 25, admitted driving while impaired by alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that officers stopped Masters, from Pembroke, after watching him constantly drive his car over the centre line on July 25.

Masters was unsteady on his feet when he got out of the vehicle and admitted drinking before he got behind the wheel.

In addition to the ban, Masters was fined $1,500 for the offence.
