Solanke one to watch as RG Fantasy League returns
Another English Premier League season is upon us, and that means another season of RG Fantasy League.
Entry is free but open only to full-time Bermuda residents, and can be done by following the instructions within the poster found on our website.
Fantasy managers have several interesting choices to make early in the season. Dominic Solanke will be one to watch for new team Tottenham Hotspur, having scored 19 goals for Bournemouth last campaign.
Today
Manchester United v Fulham (4pm)
Manchester United will miss Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, new recruit Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund to injury for their home opener, while Harry Maguire is doubtful with a knock.
Fulham have no injury concerns for the visit to Old Trafford, which means new signing Emile Smith Rowe should make his debut.
United haven’t beaten the Cottagers by more than one goal in the league since February 2019.

Saturday
Ipswich Town v Liverpool (8.30am)
Ipswich return to the top flight for the first time since 2001-02 against the side who inflicted their second-biggest league defeat. Harry Clarke, Nathan Broadhead and George Hirst are out to injury, while Cameron Humphreys is doubtful with a thigh problem.
Liverpool have shown positive signs under new manager Arne Slot, losing just one of their six preseason matches. The former Feyenoord coach has no injury worries.
The Merseyside club have won half of their ten Premier League meetings with Ipswich.
Prediction: 0-2
Arsenal v Wolverhampton Wanderers (11am)
Arsenal defenders Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu are out with hamstring and knee injuries respectively for their home opener, while Fabio Vieira is doubtful with a hip injury.
Wolves’ Nelson Semedo is out this match through suspension, Enso Gonzalez and Leon Chiwome to knee and ankle injuries, while Daniel Podence is doubtful with a calf injury.
Arsenal have lost just three of 20 league contests with Wolves, winning the past five meetings.
Prediction: 3-1
Everton v Brighton & Hove Albion (11am)
Everton will miss Nathan Patterson and Youssef Chermiti to hamstring and foot injuries respectively, while Jarrad Branthwaite (groin) and James Garner (calf) are doubtful.
Brighton have appointed former St Pauli coach Fabian Hurzeler as their new head coach, after leading the German side into the Bundesliga for the first time since 2013. Pervis Estupiñán, Solly March and Evan Ferguson are out to injury, while Julio Enciso and Bart Verbruggen are doubtful.
Everton edge this series with six wins to Brighton’s four through 14 league encounters.

Newcastle United v Southampton (11am)
Newcastle will miss Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Lewis Miley this week to injury. Sandro Tonali is suspended until September 1, while Callum Wilson and Fabian Schär are doubtful.
Southampton midfielder Kamaldeen Sulemana is out with an ankle injury for their top-flight opener.
The Magpies have 19 wins to Southampton’s 16 through 44 top-flight contests.

Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth (11am)
Nottingham Forest have no new injury concerns for their league opener, so marquee signing Nikola Milenkovic is expected to make his club debut.
Bournemouth must cope with the loss of Dominic Solanke after the striker went to Tottenham. Tyler Adams, David Brooks and new recruit Enes Unal are out to injury for the Cherries.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in four top-flight meetings with Forest, all in the past two seasons. Both their victories over Forest have come on the road.

West Ham United v Aston Villa (1.30pm)
West Ham have made eight signings this summer window to back new head coach Julen Lopetegui. Edson Alvarez (hamstring) is the only doubt for the Hammers’ first home game under the Spaniard.
Aston Villa have bolstered their squad in preparation for a first Champions League season in 42 years. Tyrone Mings and Boubacar Kamara are out with knee injuries, while Robin Olsen is doubtful with a knock.
Each club has won 14 of their 50 Premier League encounters.

Sunday
Brentford v Crystal Palace (10am)
Brentford kept marquee striker Ivan Toney, although they signed young back-up Igor Thiago in case the England star moves on. New recruit Igor Thiago and veteran Josh Dasilva are out with knee injuries, while Aaron Hickey and Rico Henry are doubtful for the Bees.
Crystal Palace retained Eberechi Eze amid the sale of opposite winger Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. The Eagles have no injury concerns this match.
This rivalry between West London and South London has seen five draws in six top-flight encounters, Palace’s lone victory coming last December at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea v Manchester City (12.30pm)
Chelsea have certainly assisted new coach Enzo Maresca in his first journey of Premier League football as a manager with nine new recruits, most notably winger Pedro Neto from Wolves. Reece James is suspended for the first three games of this campaign after being sent off against Brighton in the penultimate game last year.
Manchester City sold versatile forward Julian Álvarez to Atlético Madrid, so they will rely on the goals of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden more than ever as they go in search of a fifth straight league crown. Jack Grealish is doubtful with a muscle injury.
Chelsea leads this rivalry with 27 wins to City’s 18 after 54 contests.

Monday
Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur (4pm)
Leicester look to stabilise in the top flight under new head coach Steve Cooper. Jakub Stolarczyk and Conor Coady are out through injury, while Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy are doubtful for the Foxes.
Spurs bolstered their attack with Dominic Solanke coming in to enhance their chances of getting into Europe. The North London club have a full squad to choose from on opening weekend.
Spurs edge this rivalry with 16 wins to Leicester’s 13 through 34 meetings, although the Foxes smashed Spurs 4-1 on their last visit to the King Power Stadium.
