The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club is a gold sponsor for Bermuda Pride celebrations to be launched next week.

A spokeswoman said the hotel would host the second annual Pride Icon Awards ceremony and gala, which will honour members and supporters of Bermuda’s LGBTQ+ community, on August 30.

The resort will also offer rooms for $299 plus tax from August 28 to September 1, when Pride events will be taking place.

Planned events, which will centre on the theme “Family Affair”, include a stall at Harbour Nights, an open-mike night, a parade through Hamilton and a family beach day at Cooper’s Island.

Tim Morrison, Hamilton Princess general manager, said: “The hotel has been a steadfast supporter of Bermuda Pride celebrations as well as the LGBTQ+ community, and we are pleased to continue our commitment to the event this year.”

People can reserve a room at the hotel between August 28 and September 1 by applying the code 2U8EL1 at fairmont.com/reservations or by calling 295-3000 before August 31. Visit pride.bm/events for the full list of events planned for next week
