Sincere Hall, the Hull City under-21 forward, continued his purple patch in form despite defeat at the hands of Watford in the Professional Development League.

The Bermudian netted the home side’s consolation in a 3-1 defeat to deny the visitors a shut-out at Hull’s MKM Stadium.

Hall pulled one back in the 79th minute with a thunderbolt from the edge of the area to throw the Tigers a lifeline.

But it ultimately proved too little, too late as Watford held on to secure the points on the road.

Emmanuel Adeyemo (two) and Jonathan Lawson were on target for the visitors.

Hall enjoyed a productive pre-season with Hull City’s senior squad, scoring in a 1-1 draw against Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa and a 5-1 defeat against José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe in two friendlies last month.

The 20-year-old was retained by the Sky Bet Championship side for the upcoming 2024-25 season after agreeing to the terms of a new one-year deal, with the club holding the option of a further 12 months, after he impressed with his creativity when playing for the Tigers’ under-21s last season.

While a dramatic stoppage-time winner at Vicarage Road was among the highlights of his season, Hall also spent a month on loan with Northern Premier League Division Guiseley and earned the Tigers' Goal of the Month award for March for his brilliant finish against Birmingham City Under-21.
