Struggle to resolve postal delivery failure
Dear Sir,
For over 20 years I have subscribed to a magazine from the UK which apart from the Covid years has always arrived on time. Similarly a subscription for my husband from a different publisher has been coming regularly for the last three years.
Since May this year neither magazine has been delivered and in both cases the publishers have resent and still nothing arrives.
In order to find out the reason for this, I have attempted, personally and through my local MP, to speak with the person in the Bermuda Post Office responsible for magazine mail but have received no communication at all.
If you call the main switchboard for the General Post Office it offers various options but every single extension you choose takes you straight back to the main message!
I have had a similar experience with other government departments and have to wonder who is responsible for such a system. In an effort to try another way of contacting the correct person I filled in an online form on the government website. That was approximately three months ago and that too drew a blank.
After spending over £100 ($132) on these subscriptions, I have now asked for them to be put on hold until I can resolve the problem.
I live in Warwick, but this is no reflection on the Post Office staff or the delivery person, all of whom have been helpful. I believe this issue needs looking into as I know I’m not the only person affected.
